Home The CentreLebanon Diaspora Humanitarian Research Network

The Centre for Humanitarian Leadership, in collaboration with the Office of Research at the American University of Beirut, is convening a new network of Lebanese diaspora working on  academic research relevant to humanitarian crises.

We invite Lebanese diaspora members working in any relevant area, and researchers based in Lebanon, to register to join this emerging network. Relevant colleagues of all levels are welcome, but senior experts are particularly urged to connect.

Please note the focus is the humanitarian impact and response, and not the underlying determinants of the crisis. This is a call out for experts in the diaspora engaged in the humanitarian space and context.

This initiative is part of CHL’s new series of diaspora research networks, currently being established for a range of crisis settings

Each co-led by diaspora and colleagues in the crisis-affected setting, the purpose of the networks is to convene diaspora academic research experts from across the globe working on issues related to humanitarian crises, and those from the crisis-affected setting, and facilitate connections and collaborations to help support in-country colleagues during and in the aftermath of humanitarian crises.

Equally, diaspora will also benefit from the expertise, engagement and lived experience of colleagues in the crises-affected setting.
