How can research truly make a difference for those leading humanitarian responses in complex environments? And what are the challenges of conducting locally-led research in protracted crises?
This CHL event will explore new insights from research projects in Sudan, the DRC, and Ukraine—covering themes of leadership, volunteering, and the cultural dimensions of humanitarian action. The event will feature a discussion of how evidence and inquiry can amplify local leadership in times of crisis, as well as consideration of the challenges and ethics of conducting research in complex environments.
